California Life Coach Certification FAQ
Do I need to live in California to enroll?
No. Everything is online and we work with students all over the country. This page is aimed at people in California but there is no location requirement to sign up.
Do I need a license to coach in California?
No. Life coaching is not a licensed profession in California or anywhere in the United States. You do not need a state license to practice. ICF accreditation is not required either, but it does matter to a lot of clients, especially those who are comparing coaches before they commit to working with someone.
How long does it take to get certified?
It depends on the format you choose. Fast-Track students can finish in one to two weeks. The 3-month and 6-month programs are paced differently but cover the same 60 hours of training either way.
What is included in the $2,995 tuition?
All 60 hours of training, your coaching manual with scripts and templates, the six-week business launch program, four private sessions with a marketing coach, ongoing alumni classes, and the bi-weekly coaching exchange sessions.
What is the difference between Life Coach Certification and Spiritual Coach Certification?
The program structure, ICF accreditation, and business support are the same in both. The Spiritual Coach Certification adds tools for working with clients on purpose, values, and personal alignment. If you are drawn to that kind of work, particularly in California’s wellness community, the spiritual coaching track is worth looking at.
Can I actually build a coaching business in California after I graduate?
Yes, and a lot of our graduates do. California is a strong market for this work. The business support built into our program is there specifically to help you get clients and get going, not just hand you tools and wish you luck.
