Become A Coach Even If You’re Busy
Life can be busy with work, home, family, and responsibilities. There’s no questioning that. The only thing is, you’ve had a passion for helping other people. It’s as if you have been called to be a coach. So, how do you transition into a coaching business when you already feel too busy? Here are 6 ways to finally make it happen:
1. Acknowledge Your Calling:
Embrace the desire to help others as your true calling. There’s a saying that you ask the universe for what you want. The universe decides how you will create that for yourself. Trust that it will all work out if you follow your heart.
2. Envision Freedom:
Visualize the lifestyle of a coach. Hold the vision of a life of freedom and fewer responsibilities. If you become a coach, you will be able to set your own schedule, work as hard as you want, earn as much as you want, travel, and be anywhere in the world (you’ll meet with clients online). You’ll have the freedom you only dream of now. If you have to make small sacrifices now, it’s worth it.
3. Choose Flexible Training:
Pick a training class that has a schedule you can make work even if making the time is challenging. Is the class once a week, twice a week, or a 5-day intensive training? If your lack of free time is a challenge, pick a program that doesn’t last a long time or have extensive homework to do each week. While you may want the “Harvard” of coaching schools, pick a school that understands you are a busy person.
4. Set Boundaries and Delegate:
Shorten your to-do list by delegating or saying “no” to things more often. Maybe you’re the kind of person staying late and taking on extra responsibilities at work. Maybe at home, you do it all to make sure everything is done right. Now is the time to set boundaries for yourself and others, ask for help, or do whatever you need to do to make time. “No” is a magical word. As much as helping people is your passion, sometimes you have to say no to people asking you for help.
5. Practice Self-Compassion:
Be compassionate and kind to yourself throughout the transition process. It’s okay to feel overwhelmed at times, but remember that you are capable of managing multiple responsibilities. Ask for support from loved ones or fellow coaches when needed, and celebrate each step forward, no matter how small.
6. Find Fulfillment in the Journey:
Savor the fulfillment you get while coaching clients. Enjoy the process of getting trained, learning, and growing yourself. It will be fun and interesting and lead you to a new adventure of serving others and living a life of greater freedom.
This transition can be an easier one than you thought. By implementing these 6 ideas and staying committed to your vision, transitioning into a coaching career can become a rewarding and manageable journey, leading to a future filled with fulfillment and success.
